Choosing you is important

“No matter who you are, no matter what you do, no matter who your audience is: 30 percent will love it, 30 percent will hate it, and 30 percent won’t care. Stick with the people who love you and don’t spend a single second on the rest. Life will be better that way.” James Altucher

  • Putting yourself first is something that is very important. I’m not about to tell you to be selfish, nope. My intention is that anyone reading this, will learn that in order to be truly successful, you have to love yourself above all others. According to James Altucher In his book Choose yourself: He believes that you have to focus on :
    1. The physical body
      The emotional body
      The mental body
      The spiritual body
  • These he believes, are the the foundation for a successful life. This is something that I am in total agreement with because when you take care of yourself as a whole, you are better able to appreciate who you really are. Choosing you and taking care of yourself also gives you a sense of confidence and self worth. Knowing your worth will give you that boost you need to be proud of yourself regardless and not be concerned or ashamed of how anyone else may see you.
  • Choosing yourself is not being selfish, it is the only smart thing to do; to not only survive, but to also be successful in all aspects of your life. Have you ever tried to please the people around you? How hard was it for you to do? Stop and think for a minute, I really want you to ponder my last two questions. Think about it, it’s never an easy task to figure out what other people want or what they expect. Sometimes we go crazy trying to please the people around us, by doing what they want or, what they expect us to do. You cannot live your life based on the expectations of others, it’s just not possible. You can try, but you won’t be truly fulfilled until you choose you and live for you.
  • As I mentioned before, it’s important to take care of yourself. The “mind, body and soul’ needs to be given your full attention, you have to love yourself wholeheartedly, you won’t regret it. sometimes it’s even going to have to be a choice. There are times when you will have to choose yourself over someone else, who may not be healthy for your success. Sometimes in order for growth to take place you will have to make yourself the priority and leave others behind. Such decisions are never easy, but often necessary. Sometimes the best way to teach others is by example. When you choose yourself instead of someone who may be hindering your growth and productivity, you are teaching them to do the same.
  • Your body is like a machine, that needs constant care and maintenance in order to function effectively. You have to take care of your health if you want to be productive. Consider how you feel when you get sick. Sickness weakens your body. When you are sick, it affects so many aspects of your life. Other than the physical, sickness has an impact on your happiness and it adds to your stress level. Imagine having to worry about aches and pains and so many other negatives, rather than thinking about your living your best life. Therefore, it is very important that you make an effort to take care of your physical health. Unhappiness and stress limits your potential, so it is important that you develop healthy habits that that maximize success.
  • Know your worth. Know that only you know exactly what’s best for you. Know that you need to do what is needed, to maximize growth and success, know that only when you choose you, only then, will you find true happiness within, know that it is important to choose you.
